Cristina Cocchi is a Senior Teaching Specialist in the Italian Language Program. She holds an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction (Second Language Education) from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and, previously, a Laurea Magistrale in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures, from the University of Bologna, Italy. She’s taught Italian at the University of Minnesota since 2003. She always strives for innovative and enjoyable ways to help people better learn the Italian language and culture and is devoted to guiding students towards achieving their academic objectives. In Italy, she taught English to all ages including pre-school, youth, and adult learners. She also serves as a Certified Interviewer for PLIDA Certificate of Proficiency in Italian (organized by the Dante Alighieri Society with the academic approval of the Sapienza University of Rome) at The Italian Cultural Center, Minneapolis.
