David H Husom
David Husom is a specialist in online new media, digital imaging and documentary photography. In addition to teaching in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications he teaches Web design in University College, College of Continuing Education and documentary photography in the Master of Liberal Studies College of Continuing Education at the University of Minnesota. His current research in new media includes the future of advertising online and the use of digital media in journalism and communications. His work in documentary photography is centered on communities in small town and rural Midwestern America. His previous documentary work on county fairs "The Mid-American Fairground" manuscript is currently awaiting publication. He has been frequently interviewed in the media including: The Pioneer Press (St. Paul); Star Tribune (Minneapolis); KSTP Radio 1 hr interview; WCCO?TV-?10 PM News; and Twin Cities Public Television- Tech?Talk on issues of new media and photography.
