Two of Professor Anatoly Liberman's major books appeared in 2021: Evgeny Boratynsky and the Golden Age of Russian Poetry (Anthem, England) and Father and Son, or World without Borders (St. Petersburg, in Russian; based on the diaries he kept about the childhood and youth of his son).

At the end of October, Minneapolis  hosted a conference of the American Translation Association. Professor Liberman gave two invited lectures as a distinguished speaker, one about the translation of Russian classical poetry into English, the other about translating Shakespeare's sonnets into the languages of the world.
