Recent immigration is changing the face of America, and the IHRC is committed to preserving and sharing the stories of America's newest arrivals. Immigrant Stories helps recent immigrants and refugees create digital stories, short personal videos with images, text, music, and audio. The IHRC shares and preserves these digital stories for future generations through the IHRC Archives, the Minnesota Digital Library, and the Digital Public Library of America.
Over 150 stories representing more than forty different communities are now part of the Immigrant Stories Archive. A National Endowment for the Humanities grant is now helping us collect stories across the country. Click here to view our Immigrant Stories.
Educational resources and curricula are available to instructors to facilitate learning and discussion related to Immigrant Stories.
