CLA Faculty Development Leave
Provides professional development leave opportunities for regular (tenured and tenure-track) faculty who are not eligible for a single semester leave or a sabbatical leave, but who have received a prestigious external fellowship or funding award that does not provide full salary support.
Sabbatical Leave & Sabbatical Supplement
Sabbatical leaves provide for faculty development leaves of up to one-year in length at half-salary and full benefits. Sabbatical supplements provide additional support of up to 30% of a faculty member's base salary (support is capped at $30,000). Sabbatical supplements are awarded annually through a competitive process within the college. Applications for sabbatical supplements are due in October, for leaves to begin the following academic year. Requests for sabbatical leaves that do not include an application for a sabbatical supplement are due in January, for leaves to begin the following academic year.
Scholar of the College
Awarded annually by the College of Liberal Arts in recognition of outstanding achievement by tenured faculty in the college.
Single Semester Leave
