All CLA President's Emerging Scholars students enroll in two courses designed specifically for them during freshman year. Once registered, you are automatically enrolled in the course moodle site. To log-in, go to myu.umn.edu and "my courses" or directly to moodle.umn.edu

Fall Semester

CLA 1005: Introduction to Liberal Arts Learning

CLA 1005 is designed to provide students a space and process to examine their academic and career interests and goals in relationship to their experiences, identities, personalities, strengths, competencies, ethics, and values.

Spring Semester

CLA 2005: Global Inequality and Transformative Citizenship

Throughout spring semester, all students will complete a minimum of 20 hours of community engagement work, which allows participants to explore classroom concepts in the real world while developing valuable leadership, intercultural, and other professional competencies.
