BS in Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Justice

A bachelor of science (BS) in sociology of law, criminology, and justice offers you a broader foundation in statistics, some calculus, and data analysis. Students who choose the BS degree complete the same number of sociology core courses and electives as students in the BA program. Bachelor of science students, like bachelor of arts students, also complete a major project.

The BA's second language requirement is replaced by math and statistics courses for students pursuing a BS in sociology. While not required, you may choose to take a second language, since language skills may still be beneficial for post-graduation goals.

The BS in sociology allows you to build upon your sociology coursework by pairing your sociology electives with one of four career-oriented sub-plans (tracks).
