Currently I am working with departments, faculty, instructors and graduate students to prepare for teaching in Fall 2020. My approach to teaching online is grounded in the signature pedagogies of the liberal arts. Through consultations, workshops and blog posts I provide guidance on creating classroom communities and teaching close reading, writing, and creative expression.

In my other work I support the integration of technology into research, creative projects and digital scholarship for faculty and graduate students, and for undergraduate courses. I provide consultations on integrating workflows and planning the lifecycle of digital humanities projects such as digitized content collections, websites, online exhibits, digital stories, podcasts, and blogs for research, partnerships with community organizations, and syllabi.

My Ph.D. is in Communication from The Ohio State University, and my areas of focus were rhetoric and critical/cultural studies. I’ve taught at Macalester College, The Ohio State University, Denison University, and the University of Wisconsin. I am a photography enthusiast and take workshops and courses whenever I can.
