is a PhD candidate at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She is a published translator prior to becoming a PhD student. Her current project aims to problematize the idea of localized sense of belonging through close readings of multimodal representations of diasporic Asianness. She is particularly intrigued by the potential of “non-place” in conceptualizing transnational mobility, as well as the diasporic re-imagination of home through various place-making activities.
