I am interested in the relationship between climate/ecological change and the evolution of primates. Specifically, I am analyzing the stable isotope compositions of bulk soil organic matter, pedogenic carbonates, leaf waxes, and fatty acids isolated from paleosols as well as tooth enamel from fossil mammals to reconstruct the climate and ecology from the Miocene and Pleistocene deposits on Rusinga Island, Kenya.
