- Graduate School: Writing Studies - Rhetoric and Scientific & Technical Communications
I'm a graduate student in Rhetoric and Scientific & Technical Communication. I graduated from Scripps College with a BA in Legal Studies and wrote a senior thesis on Dred Scott v. Sanford, tracing the language in the Supreme Court’s decision through America’s founding philosophies and documents. I’ve worked in journalism, law, politics, and communications in Minnesota and North Dakota. I also worked as a tutor at Scripps’ Writing Center, where I helped compile data and present research on tutoring across the curriculum. I studied German and Arabic in college and received a Critical Language Scholarship from the US Department of State in 2012 to study Arabic in Morocco. I'm interested in critical and feminist pedagogy and political rhetoric.
