Sarah Puett is an instructor and researcher working in the Department of Writing Studies. In teaching, she focuses on the intersection of writing, rhetoric, and resistance by exploring activism, social media, and technology. Sarah's current research focuses on the written and rhetorical practices of counterpublics, which brings literacy and rhetorical studies into closer dialogue vis-à-vis social movements. Other teaching and research interests include: critical pedagogy, rhetorical theory (especially kairos), argumentation, and ethnographic research methods.
