“For many years, it seemed as if nothing changed in Norway. You could leave the country for three months, travel the world, through coups d'etat, assassinations, famines, massacres and tsunamis, and come home to find that the only new thing in the newspapers was the crossword puzzle.” (Jo Nesbo)

This is not the case anymore. Almost everything changes: the language, the population, immigration and integration issues, oil industry and economy in general, infrastructure – the list can go on. It is my goal to make my students realize the complexity of the nation and appreciate its beauty by studying Norwegian language, literature, film and art.
