Dr. Brenda Child Wins the 2025 Indigenous History Achievement Award from the Western History Association
Congratulations to Brenda J. Child (Red Lake Ojibwe) for winning the 2025 Indigenous History Achievement Award from the Western History Association.
While it is an honor to be recognized by my colleagues, I consider this award one that recognizes the overall growth and excellence that has taken place in my field throughout my lifetime, American Indian history and Indigenous Studies.
Brenda J. Child, Northrop Professor of American Studies and American Indian Studies
