Aeriel A. Ashlee (BA '07, journalism) began her journey of exploration and self-discovery in CLA. And later, when she didn't see her identity as a transracial adoptee reflected in the literature, she decided to write it herself, an examination of how Asian American college students raised in and by white adoptive families describe and make sense of their race in college.
