Lennixx Granados Bad Moccasin

Lennixx Granados Bad Moccasin is Dakota and Mnicoujou Lakota, an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in South Dakota. In 2018 he received his Bachelor’s from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where he double-majored in Studies in Cinema & Media Culture and American Indian Studies, with a Creative Writing minor and an emphasis on Dakota language. Currently pursuing a PhD in American Studies at his alma mater, his research interests include the impact and role of survival within Native representations. He primarily focuses on Indigenous storytellers and the ways they articulate Indigenous survival and resistance in their contemporary time and space (with a focus on the ontological navigation of storytelling within spaces where “home isn’t homeland or homeland isn’t home”). Lennixx is from Eagle Butte, South Dakota, a small town on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation.
