Anthropology Department to host EPIC conference
The EPIC 2016 Conference explores how the power of ethnography helps companies, industries, and communities thrive. The Department of Anthropology and the Carlson School invite you to join leaders from the anthropology and business communites, students, and faculty in attending the conference, held August 29-September 1 on the University of Minnesota campus.
EPIC is an international community of scholars and practitioners spanning a wide spectrum of fields who help organizations derive value from understanding people, and their practices and values. Their annual conference brings together approximately 300 attendees from every industry. This conference features keynotes by John F Sherry, Jr; John W Sherry; Eric Weiner; and the Anthropology Department's own Dr. Karen Ho (pictured right).
Conference attendees will access global experts, gain knowledge and skills they can implement immediately, and make valuable connections to new business partners and opportunities.
