Welcome Robin Schwartzman!
Accomplished Artist and Lecturer will be the New Digital Technician at the Regis Center for Art

The Regis Center for Art at the University of Minnesota is pleased to announce that Robin Schwartzman has accepted a position in the department, as our new technician in the area of Drawing, Painting and Printmaking, as well as our Digital Fabrication labs!
Robin comes to us with experience in industrial 3D fabrication, as a teacher, as a lab technician and an extensive background in printmaking. She is is currently teaching the department's new 3D Design and Digital Fabrication course and she has also taught design and digital fabrication processes in the College of Design. Most recently, Robin held the position of Designer and CNC Specialist at Tivioli Too Inc. She served as an Academic Support Technician and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and as a support technician in the Department of Art in the early days of the XYZ Lab.
Robin is a practicing artist incorporating 3D digital fabrication into her work and has worked on commissioned projects with numerous artists and arts organizations assisting them in realizing their work using 3D digital fabrication. She received a BFA, Summa Cum Laude, University of Syracuse, 2008 and an MFA, Summa Cum Laude, University of Minnesota - Department of Art, 2011. Recently, Robin received the Award for Innovation, American Institute of Architects, Spartanburg 2015; Artist-Residence, Hub-Bub, Spartanburg, SC; Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists, 2013-2014; Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant, 2012
