Honors English major with Asian American studies and creative writing minors, 2017.
As the daughter of Vietnamese refugees, Cat will be the first in her family to earn a college degree. For her honors summa cum laude thesis, Cat hopes to complete a feature film screenplay under the guidance of Professor Josephine Lee. Currently, Cat serves as an Editor in Chief of the Ivory Tower Art and Literary Magazine, which publishes works from the University's undergraduate student body. She also works as a marketing assistant for the University of Minnesota Press. In the past, she's served as an English peer adviser, a literacy mentor, and an intern for the Hennepin County Libraries. In the future, Cat hopes to work in a creative position that allows her to address issues of diversity in film, television, and literature, and that allows her to be unabashedly snarky.
