Annie Nguyen

My name is Annie Nguyen, I am majoring in Health and Wellbeing Sciences with a minor in Asian American Studies. I am minoring in Asian American Studies because growing up I didn't get the chance to learn about Asian American history, arts or culture other than what I had already learned from my Vietnamese background. I feel that Asian American Studies gives me the chance to better understand myself and others like myself at a deeper level. More importantly, the Asian American population is a group that I hope to work within the healthcare field. I hope to bring awareness of health disparities amongst Asian American populations.
