Fall 2017 preview: CAS co-hosting a 2017-2018 CSPW research workshop, "Remembering the Reformation"

June 9, 2017

CAS Director Howard Louthan and CGES Director James Parente are partnering to present a workshop series in conjunction with the Consortium for the Study of the Premodern World, entitled "Remembering the Reformation."  On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, this workshop is helping sponsor a library exhibit, "Luther and the World Turned Upside Down."  In the fall there will be a lecture series on late medieval Europe and the Reformation, including a special series of talks on astrology and prophecy.  There will also be a related library exhibit on Habsburg Emperor Maximilian I, "Travel, Romance and the Art of Printing in the Holy Roman Empire, 1450-1517" alongside a one-day conference on Maximilian's world.
