Film Fermentation
A talk by the Austrian Film Museum's Jurij Meden
On the fringes of the former Habsburg Empire, in the (now also former) Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia, a rich tradition of avant-garde cinema was established that still needs to be properly examined in an international context. This talk will focus on certain tendencies and specifics of ex-Yugoslavian avant-garde cinema, and about the history of their exhibition and preservation, focusing on the works of two filmmakers, Davorin Marc and Miodrag Milošević.
