Pre-Law Workshops and Schedule

Pre-Law 101

Are you thinking about going to law school? This workshop is for any UMN student considering it. We'll talk about the skills you need and how to decide if law school is a good fit for you. We'll also provide basic tips about getting into law school and what you can do to prepare.

Applying to Law School

This workshop is open to all UMN students and alumni, but it’s especially for those who know they're going to law school and would like guidance about the application process. We'll discuss application materials and deadlines, as well as how to prepare your materials so that you are the best law school applicant you can be. If you’re currently in the application process for fall 2020 or thinking ahead to fall 2021 admission, this is the place for you.

Personal Statements 101

Thursday, March 19th - 4-5pm  (in-person and webinar option)
Friday, April 24th 1-2pm  (in-person and webinar option)
This is a great workshop for students interested in learning the basics of preparing a personal statement, how it is used in the admissions process, how to choose a topic and begin writing, and how you can get feedback on your draft.

To learn more about personal statements, visit z.umn.edu/PS101

Open to CLA students and Pre-Law students.
