DAAD announces funding for an international conference, a summer workshop, and a study trip to Germany intended for graduate students

The DAAD has announced a Call for Proposals as part of its programmatic goal of enhancing networking between Centers for German and European Studies and partnering institutions in Germany.  Funds are available for the following programs in calendar year 2017:

1. the organization of an international conference for Ph.D. students and advanced Masters students with research projects at Centers for German and European Studies and at partnering institutions in Germany (up to € 50,000);

2. a summer school for Masters students at institutions with a Center for German and European Studies and at partnering institutions in Germany  (up to € 30,000); and

3. a study trip to Germany for Masters and doctoral students at institutions with a Center for German and European Studies (up to € 30,000).

The proposals to the DAAD will have to be routed through the Center for German and European Studies.  For more details (in German) of the funding parameters, eligibility, and programmatic guidelines, follow this link.

In order to facilitate an efficient and timely proposal selection and final submission to the DAAD, the Center has set an internal deadline of November 15, 2016.  Please submit a short one- or two-page project description to cges@umn.edu.
