CHGS welcomes Sheer Ganor!

CHGS is pleased to welcome History professor Sheer Ganor to our advisory board and to the university! 

Ganor’s work has focused on the German-Jewish communities that were spread across the world following the Nazi rise to power in the 1940s. She looks at the connections and the differences between these different communities that have been separated by great distances. Sheer Ganor will be a great addition to the faculty focused on Modern European History and Jewish History. 

We were pleased to collaborate with Professor Ganor this fall in her History of the Holocaust course, inviting her students to our events, and making our Minnesota and the Holocaust collection available for study, and we are looking forward to her graduate course, as well as a roundtable panel discussion this spring.
