For CLA, we have a team of content creators assigned to almost every department in the college. The content creators enrich the value of a liberal arts degree by interviewing subjects and writing three features each semester to highlight outstanding students, faculty, and alumni of the department. Content creators also serve as the first point of contact for the department’s additional communication needs: including, but not limited to, event photography, social media creation and distribution, and newsletter or flyer design.
For CLA’s academic departments, CLAgency provides:
- Original content every semester
Each semester our writers map out a content strategy, conduct interviews, and write at least three feature stories. Stories are selected by the department and center around CLA’s Roadmap goals, then they are shared on department websites, through social media, and through e-newsletters to alumni and friends.
- Digital newsletters
The stories produced each semester are packaged into a newsletter that is mailed to the department’s alumni and donors. In spring 2018, 80 articles were packaged into 25 newsletters, reaching over 50,000 CLA alumni.
- Personalized communications support
Departments can coordinate additional communications projects with CLAgency students. This could include social media management, informational materials, graphic design, or other projects as desired.
