Our goal is to highlight how CLA is shattering expectations of what a liberal arts education can be—subsequently transforming UMN’s CLA into a destination college. As strategic storytellers, we brainstorm with our departments to uncover exciting story ideas that align with CLA Dean John Coleman's Roadmap goals: readiness, research, engagement, and diversity. Each semester, content creators map out a content strategy, conduct interviews and write at least three feature stories. Our stories are shared on department websites, through social media, and through e-newsletters to alumni and friends.
We currently consult with Canvas Health, a mental health nonprofit, and create event promotion strategies through its social media channels. We additionally have an ongoing partnership with ServeMinnesota, where we create campaigns targeted at recruiting millennial volunteers.
In previous semesters, we implemented a comprehensive competitive market review for Faribault Woolen Mill. We researched the competitive landscape and made proposals for Faribault Woolen Mill’s e-commerce and communication strategies. We also worked with the nonprofit Minnesota Oral Health Care Project (MNOHP), where we developed and are implementing a communication and marketing plan to help revamp the organization’s website, social channels, and communication strategies to reach its desired audiences.
