The Department of Communication wishes Dr. J. Vernon Jensen, our emeritus professor, the happiest and warmest of 100th birthdays! Your love and kindness have touched everyone you've known for a century. Your work on intercultural communication put our department and the University of Minnesota on the map!! We are grateful for your leadership and vision.

Dr. Jensen became a faculty member at the University of Minnesota in 1959 and retired in 1993! The Department of Communication Studies would not be who we are today without him!
