NSA Twin Cities Chapter Meetings
The National Stuttering Association (NSA) is a self-help, self-advocacy group for adults who stutter. The Twin Cities chapter of the NSA meets the second Thursday of the month, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in downtown Minneapolis. There is no charge to attend local chapter meetings.
Most meetings center around a topic of discussion related to the social-emotional aspects of stuttering, such as self-talk, relationships, and social anxiety. Occasionally we will meet elsewhere for a social outing (bowling, dinner, movie, etc.).
While anyone is welcome to use these meetings as an opportunity to practice speech skills learned in therapy, structured therapy targeting speech skills is not provided at these meetings.
