Page Types
Each site in Drupal consists of three types of pages—landing, generic, and degree program. Articles and events are independent content chunks that will feed into sites. Image galleries are specialized pages used mainly for photos.
-
Landing → These are the main pages for each navigation section, i.e. Undergraduate, Graduate, Alumni. They consist of a hero image, links to pages, and occasionally mega portals.
-
Generic →Type for most pages with content within sites. Examples: research, people, alumni.
-
Degree → Specialized pages only for degree programs, including undergraduate majors and minors and graduate majors and minors.
-
Articles → Normally classified as either News, Profile, or Story. Feed to the News & Events sections. For more on articles, see creating articles.
-
Events → Can be created either on Drupal or the UMN Events Calendar. Feed to the News & Events section. For more on events, see creating events.
-
Image gallery→ A specialized page that contains an image slideshow.
-
WCIDWAMI→ “What Can I Do With A Major In” content type—one for each major; see: http://cla.umn.edu/student-services-advising/career-internship-services/explore-majors-careers/what-can-i-do-major for examples.
