Why did you choose to major in English?

Because I love reading and expressing myself through writing. Reading has become a big part of who I am, so why not combine my love for reading with my academics!

Are you pursuing any majors, minors, internships, or interests outside your English major?

I am pursuing a journalism major alongside my English major. I believe it will strengthen my skills in reading and writing. Both academic settings help build my critical thinking skills. And simply double-majoring means more career options.

On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong

What English courses would you especially recommend?

“Adaptation: Literature to Film” (ENGL1041) and “Introduction to Editing and Publishing” (ENGL3704).

What is your favorite thing about Pillsbury Hall?

I love the study room for undergraduate English students! I have spent countless hours there catching up on assignments or readings, and it’s just a great study space overall. Good vibes and comfy chairs!
