In spring 2021, the Department of American Studies presents American Studies Now, a book-talk series featuring authors Tiffany Lethabo King, Gayatri Gopinath, Joshua Chambers-Letson.

Tiffany Lethabo King, associate professor of African American, Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Georgia State University, will discuss their book The Black Shoals.

Gayatri Gopinath, professor in the Department of Social and Cultural Analysis, and the Director of the Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality at New York University, will be discussing their book Unruly Visions.
