I would like to write my dissertation on intercultural negotiation. This dissertation will show how culture can influence a negotiation. The notion of Interculturality is also important because all negotiation has to adapt to the origin of the negotiator (the history and culture of its country and the negotiator's past. Also, I will explain that there is no single way to negotiate, but that each negotiation must be adapted to the negotiator. Adaptation is the key to successful negotiation. I'll be drawing on Eryl Mayer's book Culture Map to provide a framework to understand and navigate cultural differences in the workplace or during a negotiation.
