GES Associate Professor Wins Award for Environmental Innovation

Create Initiative

The CREATE Initiative received top honors for Environmental Innovation from the Environmental Initiative, a non-profit organization that works with business, non-profit and government leaders to develop collaborative solutions to Minnesota’s environmental challenges. Kate Derickson is an Associate Professor in GES and the co-director of the CREATE project. The CREATE Initiative advances research and education at the intersection of environment and equity through community engagement, interdisciplinary scholarship, and graduate training. Kate also oversees the PRAXIS Lab when she finds herself with a moment to breathe! Congratulations to Kate and the CREATE Initiative project team on a wonderful, valuable accomplishment!
