PhD student, Uday Thapa, recently had two articles published. The first article, Tree growth across the Nepal Himalaya during the last four centuries
, was published by Progress in Physical Geography. The article tracks how the country’s forests have behaved over the last four centuries and shows how high-elevation species are responding to the recent rapid warming across the Himalayas.
Secondly, Uday was part of a group of 98 authors who produced a new global database of surrogate climate indicators. The data, which was published by Scientific Data, will provide a resource for climate researchers interested in how climate has changed from 1 AD to the present. Congratulations Uday!
