PhD student, Uday Thapa, recently had two articles published.  The first article, Tree growth across the Nepal Himalaya during the last four centuries, was published by Progress in Physical Geography.  The article tracks how the country’s forests have behaved over the last four centuries and shows how high-elevation species are responding to the recent rapid warming across the Himalayas.

Secondly, Uday was part of a group of 98 authors who produced a new global database of surrogate climate indicators. The data, which was published by Scientific Data, will provide a resource for climate researchers interested in how climate has changed from 1 AD to the present.  Congratulations Uday!
