Our own UMN geography professor, Scott. St. George was recently included in a discussion on CBC news. The topic? Possible causes of a wet period encompassing the entire Red River Valley that has lasted more than two decades. Professor St. George, who studies climate volatility, stated that “we know things have changed, we know when things have changed, we know a little about how things have changed; explaining the why is a little more difficult.”
