German Tutors

The Department of German, Nordic, Slavic & Dutch maintains informal lists of people who are interested in tutoring. Current or former students or instructors in our department are marked “(dept.).”

The department does not certify tutors and assumes no responsibility for the quality of instruction. The agreement reached between you and any tutor is a personal one and should in no way be construed as reflecting departmental policies. For more information, contact the individual directly.

Korbuly-Johnson, Lili  lili@get-lkj.com Minor in German from U of MN; worked in Germany; certified to teach with Berlitz in German but chose my own methods instead; have used German in my work life and for my YouTube channel.  I have tutored Breck High School students in German using the school’s materials; am teaching grade school kids who don’t have German classes, using my own method; am tutoring a senior citizen in grammar and conversation, using Berlitz materials and my own method. Fees start at $30 per session if student has their own materials and we are on Zoom/FaceTime/Skype  $60 per session if we use my methods. In-person sessions sometimes available.  Does NOT teach children under age 8.
