Scandinavian Scholarships: Application Requirements

The application deadline is March 6, 2019. The following materials are required:

1. Application form (pdf). (Please contact gnsd@umn.edu if you have problems downloading this form or if you would like it as a Word document.)

2. A one-page, single-spaced statement discussing your interest in Scandinavian studies, why you are applying for a scholarship and a brief indication of financial need.

3. An unofficial transcript as pdf.
    

4. A letter from a GSD instructor. NOTE: The letter must reach the Department by the application deadline, so you should request it as soon as possible.

Eligible candidates:

• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0; over the past few years, successful candidates have generally had a GPA of 3.5 or higher;

• Must have completed at least a 1003 or higher course in FIN, NOR or SWED;

• Must be registered for a minimum of 15 credits during the term of award.
