Peer Advisor Profile: Muhannad Al Manji

Students Helping Students

Meet Peer Advisor Muhannad (Mo) Al Manji. He is one of three peer advisors here in the economics department.

What experience do you have in economics?

I grew up having foundational knowledge regarding economics concepts since my mother is an economics graduate. However, it wasn’t anything intensive. As of right now, I am currently a peer advisor for the economics department, and I have been exploring different economics resources like the Economics Student Organization and more.

What are your favorite resources to use on campus?

My favorite resource to use on campus is probably the SMART Learning Commons. I find it extremely helpful to utilize it with challenging topics that I encounter within different courses. It’s time-efficient and most importantly free.

How can students benefit from meeting with you?

I believe I would be able to provide my experience as a student with different courses as an economics major and share some helpful tips that worked for me and made me successful, as well as discussing technical procedures like course sequencing. I am also easy-going, and it’s most likely I would be willing to just have a chat as well.

What conversations do you look forward to having with students as a peer advisor?

I am mostly looking forward to hearing student experiences with the major, and getting to know them personally which would help me provide tips that would align with achieving their goals.
