6th Annual HHEI Alumni Conference

Economist J. Carter Braxton.

The Heller-Hurwicz Economics Institute (HHEI) is proud to host the 6th Annual HHEI Alumni Conference. The event will happen online on Thursday, July 10th, and Friday, July 11th.

The invitation-only conference is the sixth in the series and features current Ph.D. candidates as well as Ph.D. alumni from the Department of Economics of the University of Minnesota. The conference provides a valuable opportunity for final-year graduate students to present their research and gather feedback before entering the job market in early 2026.

This year, J. Carter Braxton (Ph.D. 2020)  is giving the plenary talk. Braxton, an Assistant Professor of Economics at University of Wisconsin-Madison (Madison, WI), will speak on “Rising Risk Among the Rich: Implications for Wealth Inequality and Interest Rates.”

For more information on the event, please contact the organizer, Elena Falcettoni (Ph.D. 2019), at [email protected].
