Each year, the Hubbard School of Journalism & Mass Communication awards more than 100 scholarships worth nearly $250,000 to HSJMC undergraduate majors and premajors. These scholarships are awarded based upon academic performance; potential for a career in Journalism or Strategic Communication; and, in some instances, financial need.
How do I qualify?
If you are a HSJMC major and you are enrolled full-time, you may apply for an HSJMC scholarship. Awards are for the following academic year and range from $500 to $6,500. Students coded by the College of Liberal Arts as pre-jour may also complete an application to be considered for pre-major scholarships.
How do I apply for a HSJMC scholarship?
The HSJMC Scholarship application is available to majors in January for the following academic year. This one application allows students to be considered for all HSJMC scholarships.
The deadline for the 2018-2019 academic year scholarship application has passed. Please check back in December 2018 for the 2019-2020 application and daedline.
