2020 Summer Internship Position open for Applications

The Master of Human Rights and the Human Rights Program are sponsoring a summer 2020 internship opportunity with Refugees International.  Only students pursuing a Master of Human Rights or a Human Rights Graduate Minor, at the University of Minnesota, are eligible to apply.

Refugees International is seeking a talented individual to join their program team. The intern will work closely with our President and other program staff to conduct research on displacement and support assessment mission planning and report drafting. Responsibilities may also include media tracking, attending local government and NGO meetings and conferences and providing additional front office support. The intern will have an opportunity to write a blog on a topic that most interests them.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be enrolled in either the Master of Human Rights or the Human Rights Graduate Minor at the University of Minnesota.
  • Knowledge of a second language helpful
  • Knowledge of or interest in displacement trends and migration issues
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Be passionate about Refugees International’s work and mission.

 

Refugees International is looking for a minimum commitment of 32 hours per week, Monday – Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 p.m. at our offices in Washington DC starting May/June 2020 and ending August 2020.
