Join the IHRC for an informal conversation with Sahra Noor, the author of Salt in the Snow: A Somali Immigrant Story. This is an opportunity to talk with Sahra in a smaller, more intimate setting before her public speaking event at 5pm.
Sahra Noor is a Somali-American health systems leader and author of Salt in the Snow, her debut memoir exploring migration, belonging, and the work of building a life across cultures. She is a contributing author to the forthcoming anthology "American Occupation: Dispatches from Minnesota’s Resistance to ICE", to be published by University of Minnesota Press in January 2027. Sahra holds a master’s degree in nursing and health systems administration from the University of Minnesota.
