How do we process the past few months? How can we listen to the experiences of our neighbors? Join us for a story circle! Developed by the Free Southern Theater in 1963 and adapted by Mixed Blood Theatre for this historic Minnesota moment, story circles are a processing tool that encourages us to embrace dialogue over debate and to value the nuances of experience over even the best-structured arguments. Ultimately, it teaches us that it is through listening to our stories, rather than arguing our points, that we discover who we are. Why a circle? Circles are democratic. Everybody on the circle is an equal participant. Join us for a community based arts engagement program.

This event is co-sponsored by Mixed Blood Theatre and the Immigration History Research Center, the Human Rights Program, and the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the University of Minnesota.
