Experience

Jewish studies majors and minors can expect to gain skills in understanding ancient culture, Hebrew, communication and writing, cross-cultural knowledge, and more. We prepare our majors for the ever-changing world by teaching them how to form clear and persuasive messages, work independently and collaboratively, and have an understanding of minority perspectives on a variety of issues.

In addition, what you do outside of the classroom can improve your confidence, enhance your skills, and build your resume. Therefore, we encourage you to seek out real-world experience through research opportunities, community engagement, and internships to help you feel confident in your decision upon graduation. You may also also gain valuable and relevant skills in Jewish studies by studying abroad or joining a student organization.
