Essential Instructions

Format a Card

  1. From Stop, press and hold the DISPLAY button for 3 seconds.
  2. Press the VOL+ or VOL- button to select Utility Menu. Then press the ENTER button.
  3. Press the VOL+ or VOL- button to select Card Format. Then press the ENTER button.
    1. Card Format? message is displayed.
  4. While Card Format? message is displayed, select Yes and press the ENTER button to format the SD card.

Change Record Settings

  1. From Stop, press and hold the DISPLAY button for 3 seconds.
  2. Press the VOL+ or VOL- button to select Preset Menu. Then press the ENTER button.
  3. Press the VOL+ or VOL- button to select Preset MP3 Mono, MP3 Stereo or Wave Man.
    1. Select Preset - MP3 Mono - for Mono MP3 files
    2. Select Preset - MP3 Stereo - for Stereo MP3 files
    3. Select Preset - Wave Man - for CD quality Wav files
  4. Press the ENTER button to accept the selected Preset.
  5. Press the DISPLAY button to store the changes.

Start Recording

  1. From Stop, press and hold the DISPLAY button for 3 seconds.
  2. Press the VOL+ or VOL- button to select Preset Menu. Then press the ENTER button.
  3. Press the VOL+ or VOL- button to select Preset MP3 Mono, MP3 Stereo or Wave Man.
    1. Select Preset - MP3 Mono - for Mono MP3 files
    2. Select Preset - MP3 Stereo - for Stereo MP3 files
    3. Select Preset - Wave Man - for CD quality Wav files
  4. Press the ENTER button to accept the selected Preset.
  5. Press the DISPLAY button to store the changes.

Playback

  1. Slide and hold the POWER switch to turn on.
  2. Press the << or >> button to choose the file.
  3. Press the ENTER button to begin playback.
  4. Press the STOP/CANCEL button to stop playback.

Essential Instructions

  • Format a card
  1. From Stop, press and hold the SHIFT button then push the MENU/STORE EDIT button.

    1. Trk Erase will appear in the display.

  2. Press the << or >> button until Format is displayed.

  3. Press the ENTER button.

    1. The Display switches to OK? Flashing.

  4. Press the ENTER button.

    1. Executing will be displayed until Format is finished.

    2. Then Completed will be displayed and the recorder will return to stop mode.

  • Change record settings
  1. From Stop, push the MENU/STORE EDIT button.

  2. Press the << or >> button to choose the Preset number.

    1. Select Preset 1 for Mono MP3 files using internal mike and ALC

    2. Select Preset 2 for uncompressed stereo WAV files using internal mike and ALC

    3. Select Preset 3 for uncompressed stereo WAV files using external mike and manual record level

  3. Press the MENU/STORE EDIT button to store your selection.

  • Start recording
  1. Slide the POWER switch to ON.

  2. Press the REC button to begin recording.

    1. The Rec indicator will be steadily lit while recording.

  3. Press the REC PAUSE button to pause recording.

  4. Press the STOP/CANCEL button to stop recording and end the track (close the audio file).

  • Playback
  1. Slide the POWER switch to ON.

  2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to begin playback.

    1. The PLAY indicator will be steadily lit while in playback mode.

  3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button again to pause playback.

  4. Press the STOP/CANCEL button to stop playback.
