MWALLT 2020: Call for Proposals

The Midwest Association for Language Learning and Technology (MWALLT) will hold its 2020 conference on February 8, 2020. This conference will be of particular interest to all current and prospective language instructors, to individuals affiliated with media centers or language labs, and to individuals interested in any facet of language learning technology.

To expand accessibility in the large Mid-West region, there are multiple regional hubs where attendees can attend the conference close to home. The Language Center and CARLA are cosponsoring the University of Minnesota hub.

The keynote speaker is Kathleen Fitzpatrick, the Director of Digital Humanities at Michigan State University and author of Generous Thinking: A Radical Approach to Saving the University. She will be speaking on the topic of “Working in Public: New Infrastructures for Better Institutions.

MWALLT is accepting conference proposals through December 1, 2019.

Proposal formats: 

  • Presentation (30 minutes)
  • Panel and discussion (60 minutes, several presenters)
  • Lightning talk (15 minutes)
