New PACE Project Article in Foreign Language Annals

The current issue of Foreign Language Annals (Volume 52, Number 4) published by ACTFL includes an article based on research from the PACE project funded by The Language Flagship.

Tripp Strawbridge (Spanish and Portuguese), Dan Soneson (Language Center) and Carter Griffith (Language Center) authored Lasting effects of pre‐university language exposure on undergraduate proficiency. This study analyzes the effects of two variables on the proficiency development of 907 university students of Spanish and French: years of high school experience; and level of initial placement into university language study.

The online and print versions of the Foreign Language Annals are free to ACTFL members and accessible to University of Minnesota personnel through the university library. A paper copy is also available at the Language Center.
