Cloud-based digital tools have made it easier to incorporate spatial thinking into coursework and research for those who would normally never encounter Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) in their disciplines. ESRI Story Maps are one such tool that offer instructors a simple and compelling way to have students explore spatial content and engage with spatial analysis. Story Maps have been particularly popular among those seeking to engage in the digital humanities.

Topics include:

  • Using ESRI’s ArcGIS Online and StoryMaps platforms

  • Creating clear assignments for students

  • Finding data

  • Support available at the university

Bring your lunch and join us for a brown bag information session on how to incorporate Story Maps into your classroom.
