Our team of liasons, analysts, programmers, and project managers facilitates change; advocates for faculty, staff, and student needs; and improves workflows throughout the college.

Collaborating to improve processes

We help units simplify organizational workflows. We begin with investigation and process mapping. When appropriate, we can augment with technology tools—even entirely digitize processes so staff and faculty care be more effective in their work.

Providing personal help right in the department

Our Departmental Consultants get to know the people and their needs in every CLA department and connect them to technology, resources, and services across the University. This includes connecting with specialists within LATIS, CLA administration, University IT, the Libraries, and beyond.

Developing and implementing custom software

We develop software for the liberal arts- and college- specific needs of faculty, students, and staff. We've built applications for language proficiency exams, promotion & tenure, digital collections, hiring processes, managing internal grants, and much more. We also integrate outside applications into the University environment.

Providing access to software and hardware

We manage CLA's Computer Replacement Program that provides funding for desktops and laptops for faculty, staff, and grad students. All computers include the University's standard suite of software and access to CLA's research titles, as well. More info on what title's are available at the U can be found on OIT's software page.

Informing decisions with data

The CLA Decision Support Services (DSS) is a “front door” to data, analytics, and reporting for collegiate faculty and staff. The mission is to support and grow a culture of data-informed decision making. This service is provided through a partnership with our colleagues in CLA's Office of Undergraduate Education.
